Gerstner K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäcker Show
The Gerstner K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäcker Show is a culinary journey through time into the traditional world of Viennese confectionery, which introduces visitors to the secrets of making Viennese apple strudel. The art of apple strudel baking is celebrated in the historic ambience of our bakery in Schönbrunn Palace. Under the guidance of our experienced strudel bakers, stories, techniques and recipes will unfold around one of the most famous Austrian pastry classics.
HIGHLIGHTS
One of the highlights of the Gerstner K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäcker Show is undoubtedly the live demonstration, where participants can experience the production of Viennese apple strudel from the preparation of the dough to the finished pastry. There is a special focus on the production of the wafer-thin strudel dough, which is carefully pulled by hand - a technique that requires a great deal of dexterity and experience. On request, the baking show can be rounded off with a tasting of the freshly baked apple strudel.
