WestLicht Center for photography
Since 2011, WestLicht has been a centre of photography offering its visitors multiple changing exhibitions every year. They include individual exhibitions and retrospectives of some of the grand names of the history of photography, such as Nobuyoshi Araki, Bruce Davidson, Vivian Maier, Alexander Rodchenko or August Sander, as well as contemporary artists.
A fixture on the calendar is the World Press Photo Exhibition in autumn.
The gallery also houses a camera museum, where cameras from the early days of photography to the present day illustrate the technological development of the medium. After seeing the exhibits, you can sit down in the café or browse the bookshop.
Please verify the opening hours at www.westlicht.com, as closure days between exhibitions may occur.
