Guided Tour of the Vienna State Opera

Discover the largest repertoire company in the world and learn about many things that otherwise remain hidden to the evening opera-goer on a guided tour of the Vienna State Opera.

During the 40-minute guided tour, you will learn lots of interesting facts about the history of the theatre, its architecture and opera operations. From the foyer, the tour takes you up the grand staircase through the state rooms (tea parlour, marble hall, Schwindfoyer, Gustav Mahler Hall) to the auditorium (with a view of the stage).

Participation in the tour of the State Opera can only be guaranteed if you reserve a tour appointment in advance via the State Opera website! Please validate your ticket when you arrive at the tour.
A valid Vienna PASS/Vienna FLEXI Pass must be presented at the start of the tour.
